17 December 1908On Sunday morning, December 6, 1908, occurred the death of Peter Boyd at the hospital at Clarinda from attack of epilepsy from which has been a sufferer for many years. The deceased, who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. K. P. Boyd, of this place, was born near Lee, Ill., on November 30, 1872, and when but six years of age came with his parents to Iowa, where they have since resided. Last spring he was taken to Clarinda, where he would be given special treatment but death came as above stated and relieved him from his earthly sufferings.
His father K. P. Boyd and brother, went to Clarinda Monday for the remains, arriving here Wednesday evening. The funeral took place on Friday afternoon from Trinity church, Rev. H. J. Holman officiating, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Roland cemetery.
Besides his parents he leaves six sisters and four brothers besides numerous relatives to mourn his death and to all these is extended the sympathy during the your of their bereavement.
