FERN N. HOBSON

Fern N. Hobson, 79 of Nevada, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1963 at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

Hobson was born March 17, 1903 to Frank and Martha Thundeberg Redd at Glenco, Okla.

She was married to Clarence O. Hobson Dec. 24, 1924 in Nevada. She was a homemaker and housekeeper, working for the Story County Hospital until retirement. She also was a member of the Nevada United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors and the Rebekhas Lodge No. 234 in Nevada.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15 at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Rev. Harold Wagner will officiate. Burial will be at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Nevada.

She is survived by one son, Bobby Hobson of Nevada; and two sisters, Rosie Pugh of Pittsburg, Kan.; and Susie Odom of Healdsburg, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada from 7 - 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14.
