Arthur Davis services Friday

Arthur Davis, 86, 613 Sixth St., died while at work in the kitchen at the Sheldon-Munn Hotel here Wednesday afternoon.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the Stevens-Ross Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Born in Illinois, he had been a resident of Ames for the past 40 years.

Mr. Davis was married to Rosie Davis in 1900 in Ohio. She preceded him in death in Ohio in 1920.

Survivors include a son, Ossie of Sleepy Eye, Minn.; a brother, Tony Davis in California; and a sister, Mrs. Nora Kelley of Boone.
