Mrs. J. Crosby Dies Thursday Of Pneumonia

Mrs. Jennie Lind Crosby, 62, a resident of Ames for 31 years, died at 6:25 p. m. Thursday at her home at 618 Seventh Street. Mrs. Crosby had been ill for three months with pneumonia.

She was born in Kirksville July 15, 1874, a descendant ot Zebulon Pike, the discoverer of Pike's peak. She was married to U. G. Crosby in Maryville, Mo., in August,1894, and they lived in Armstrong, Ia., until Mr. Crosby's death in 1902. Mrs. Crosby came to Ames in 1905.

Surviving her are one son, H. E. Crosby, McKeesport, Pa., and three daughters, Mrs. Norman
Godfrey, Wilkinsburg, Pa.; Mrs. M. H. Bovee, Redwood Falls, Minn., and Mrs. T. G. Garfield, Ames; also several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m., Saturday from the Adams chapel, with the Rev. A. R. McLaughlin, pastor of the Congregational church, in charge. Burial will be in the Ames cemetery.
