Charles Gamble Of Nevada Dies Early Wednesday
NEVADA—Charles Gamble,6?, died at his apartment in the Fay home early Wednesday morning after an extended illness. Dropsy and heart disease were given as causes of death.
Funeral arrangements were pending definite word regarding the arrival in Collins of the body of his sister, Mrs. Maggie Gamble Fish who died in Long Beach, Cal., Tuesday. The body is now enroute back to the family home in Collins.
Mr. Gamble was born on the old Gamble homestead near Maxwell and had lived a major portion of his life in Story county. He had operated a cafe in Nevada for several years.
Surviving besides his wife are one son, James of Nevada and two daughters, Mrs. Ray Prier of Stockton, Cal., and Miss Elizabeth Gamble a student in a California college. The two daughters have been home for the past few weeks assisting in the care of their father. Also surviving are one brother, Will Gamble of Maxwell and four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Richardson of Nebraska, Mrs. W. L. Tipton of Nevada, Mrs. Henderson Golden of near Nevada and Mrs. I. W. Douglass of Maxwell.
