Luther M. Rood, 65, of Huxley, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Soderstrum-Riis Funeral Home in Slater. Burial will be in Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
