Jerry Duncan, 85, of Kelley, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Israel Family Hospice House. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kelley. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Bethany Lutheran Church.
Jerry Duncan was born April 30, 1923, in Bagley, to Joe and Winnie (Bean) Duncan. He was a farmer and had served in the U.S. Navy.
He married Neola Genzler on April 14, 1944. He enjoyed welding, woodworking, crafts, helping people and doing activities for the church. His lasting legacy was to instill his work ethic with his family.
He is survived by seven children, Jerry Joe Duncan, Judy (Robert) Nicholson, Jim (Betty) Duncan, Don Duncan, Ed (Tracy) Duncan, Sandy Duncan and Sindy (Kevin) Twedt; three sisters, Lois Clauge, Doris Hollis and Betty Bailey; four grandchildren, Patty, Trudy, Crystal and Shyanne; and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Madison.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Neola, in 1989; one brother, Clyde D. Duncan; and two sisters, Donna and Barb.
Memorials may be given to Israel Family Hospice House.
Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
