FUNERAL SERVICES FOR NEVADA FARMER THU.
NEVADA—Funeral services for Bert Mabe, 66, who died Monday afternoon at 5:30 at the Iowa sanitarium will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the Nevada Methodist church. The Rev. C. D. Loose will be in charge of services and burial will be in the local cemetery.
Mr. Mabe had been in poor health for some time suffering with a paralysis of the throat, neck and shoulders. He had recently been a patient at the University hospital, Iowa City.
Born in Dubuque in February 1870, he came to Nevada at the age of 16 and was employed for P. E. Shugart on his farms. For many years he operated one of the large Shugart farms south of Nevada and for the past three years had resided on a farm two miles east of Nevada.
Surviving are his wife and two brothers, Roy Mabe of near Nevada and Charles Mabe of Manilus, N. Y.
