BOONE, Ia. — Boone county's third suicide within a week occurred Monday when Mrs. Jessie A. Cole, 35, despondent over ill health, took her life by inhaling gas. She moved to Boone with her family from Nevada two years ago.

Mrs. Cote was suffering with uraemia poisoning which was bringing on blindness and also high blood pressure. She and her husband operated a cafe here. After the two boys, Virgil 6, and Dale 14, went to school Monday. Mrs. Cole locked herself in the apartment and turned on the gas. The boys eat at the cafe so that the body was not discovered at noon. The owner of the building from whom the Coles rent the apartment discovered the body about 3:30 o'clock when he smelled gas.
