MRS. ROY RIGGS IS DEAD; FUNERAL THURS.
Mrs. Roy Riggs, 44, resident of Grant township, died at the Mary Greeley hospital here Tuesday night of ulcers of the intestines. Mrs. Riggs was taken to the hospital last Thursday and had two blood transfusions before her death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Adams chapel with the Rev. R. . M. Shipman in charge. Burial will be in the Ames cemetery.
Besides her husband, two children, Lee, 19, and Virginia. 14, survive. Two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Lex at Ft. Dodge, and Mrs. Gertrude Scott of Maxwell, also survive.
Mrs. Riggs lived in the Ames community for the past 21 years. She was born in Cambridge and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Lee. She was married in Des Moines on March 10, 1909.

Funeral services for Mrs. Roy Riggs, 44, resident of Grant township, were attended by about 500 relatives and friends Thursday afternoon. at the Adams chapel. The Rev. R. M. Shipman was in charge of the program. Burial was in the Ames cemetery.
Pall bearers were Merrit Dailey, Richard Kirby, Glen Banks, Alvin Banks, Frank Andrews and James Dale.
Mrs. Riggs died Tuesday night at the Mary Greeley hospital here of ulcers of the intestines. Two blood transfusions failed to save her life. She was taken to the hospital Thursday, February 20.
Besides her husband, two children, Lee, 19, and Virginia, 14, survive.
