Andrew Matthew Kane Bartmess, 2 months, of Nevada went to go play among the angels on Friday, August 15 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services were held on Wednesday, August 20 at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada with Pastor David R. Burling officiating.
Andrew was born on June 7, 2008 at Mary Greeley Medical Center to proud parents, Kaitlyn Eva Marie Rush and Kazbien Michael Bartmess.

Andrew is survived by his mother, Kaitlyn Rush of Nevada; father Kaz (Daniell) Bartmess of Zearing; brothers Dominick Wentzel and Rowyn Goettsch of Zearing; paternal grandparents, Vicki Towle of Nevada and Kevin (Tammer) Bartmess of Ames; paternal great grandparents, James and Valerie (Olson) Klein and Kay Bartmess, all of Nevada; maternal grandparents, Ron Rush of Bondurant and Michelle Rogers of Fairfield; great grandmothers, Sue Cross of Mt. Pleasant, and Esther Rogers of Altoona; uncles Seth (Heady) Bartmess and Eian Bartmess, all of Ames and Jeff Kritendrink, and Josh (Heather) of Ft. Hood, TX; aunts, Angel Bartmess of Ames, Amanda Rush of Bondurant, Kory Kritendrink of Fairfield and Erin Kritendrink; step grandmother Rhonda Day of Zearing; step aunt, Amanda Wentzel; and many cousins.

Andrew was preceded in death by a great uncle, James Andrew Klein on January 24, 1991, a great grandpa Dick Bartmess, and brother Logan Goettsch.
