Tamela Sims, 34, of Ames, died Sunday, July 6, in Ames. Services are pending for Friday, July 11, with Stevens Memorial Chapel.

Tamela Lynn Sims, 34, of Ames, died Sunday, July 6, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery. A light lunch will be provided following the service at Church of the Nazarene, 203 S. Kellogg Ave., in Ames.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service Friday, at the funeral chapel.

Tamela was born Sept. 28, 1973, in Omaha, Neb., to Robert May Jr. and Linda Sims. She was loved by her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Tigra and Iyceez; two sons, Jamar and DeSean; her mother, Linda Sims, of Ames; her stepfather, Clarence Anderson, of Nebraska; and one brother, Clarence Sims, of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorials and gifts of support may be sent to the Body of Christ Church, Box 9087, Ames, IA, 50014, with checks made out to Sims Family Fund.
