Ward I. Tjelmeland, 77, Story City, died early Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.
Mr. Tjelmeland is survived by his wife, Gladys, of Story City; eight sons, Harold, Gary and Keith of Story City, Leo of Nevada, Wallace of Collins, Wayne of Bloomington, Ill., Joel of Springfield, Ill., and Gordon of Cedar Falls; two daughters. Lola (Mrs. Marley) Anderson of Nevada and Delores (Mrs. Ronald) Campbell of St. Louis, Mo.; 26 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, Roland. Burial will be in Roland Cemetery.
