Word has been received of the death of E. P. Schindler, 85, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26 at a veterans hospital in Ohio, where he had been a patient for several years.
Mr. Schindler, a former Nevada resident, spent 44 years in education, 22 of which were as superintendent of schools in Story County.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Susan (Mrs. Todd) Krummel of Donnellson, Ill., and Sara (Mrs. Adreas) Garner of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Dr. Alvin Schindler of College Park, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Helen Hockersmith of Bloomfield, Ia., and seven grandchildren.
Services will be Monday, Oct. 1 at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Ia. Visiting hours will be from 1 to 2 p.m.
