Memorial services for Ruby Lucille Archeske were held Monday, May 5, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City. Burial will be at Story City Municipal Cemetery at a later date.

Ruby L. Archeske was born April 1, 1928 to Jesse and Stella (Johnson) Allie in Stanhope, Iowa. She married Raymond Archeske Sept. 9, 1951. Ruby was a lifetime resident of the Story City area. She was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City. Ruby liked her cats and enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, and very much enjoyed her grandchildren.

Ruby passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at Bethany Manor in Story City at 80 years of age.

She is survived by her husband Ray of Story City; her daughter Donna and her husband Steve Wright of Story City; two sons, Mark Archeske of Story City and David Archeske of Story City; her sister Gladys Nelson of Story City; and five grandchildren, Nicholas Wright, Morgan Wright, Jesse Ray Archeske, Kristopher Archeske, and Amanda Archeske.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother Lester Allie.
