OBITUARY.
Gjert Waage was born in Norway, Feb. 22, 1833 and died Aug. 7, 1905 at the ripe old age of 72 years, 5 months and 16 days.
The deceased was an old pioneer of Story County and farmed north of Roland until a few years ago, he retired and moved to Roland to spend the rest of his days in quietness. For the past several months he has been gradually failing and when the summons came, it was very welcome to him who had so long suffered.
He leaves a wife, two boys and five girls to mourn his loss.
He will be buried today at 1 p.m. from Bergens church, Rev. Smedal officiating after which the interment will take place in the Roland cemetery.
The Record extends its sympathy to the sorrowing friends and relatives.
