Oliver "Ollie" E. Berg, 83, of Jewell, Iowa, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Hamilton County Hospital in Webster City. Funeral services were held Monday, July 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City. Burial followed in the Story City Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday, July 15 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church.

Oliver E. Berg was born Dec. 21, 1923 to Sam and Martha (Westre) Berg in Jewell, Iowa. 011ie had lived on the same farm since he was fourteen. He was a graduate of Jewell High School and married Leota Tesdall on Sept. 20, 1950. Oliver was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Story City, the Jewell Lions Club, was on the Board of Directors of CIC Co-op in Jewell, and had been the financial secretary and a trustee at Grace Church.

0llie enjoyed being on the farm, woodworking, gardening, and mowing the lawn.
