Charles Buck, 56, of Jewell, died Sunday, Dec. 2, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Becker Funeral Home in Jewell.

Charles Lee Buck was born June 24, 1951, in Fairbury, Ill., to Kenneth Paul and Edith Frances (Dickerson) Buck. He lived in the Saylorville Township area and attended Saydel High School. He married Lori Jean Peterson Jan. 19, 1980, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. He was a construction contractor operating Seamless Pros of Jewell with his wife and son. He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. He was a hard worker who loved running the family business with his son. He loved spending time with his family, traveling in his motor home, cooking and kicking his feet up to watch a good TV show.

He is survived by his parents; his wife, Lori; one son, Anthony (Kristi Carlberg); daughter, Felicia, all of Jewell; daughter, Tina Buck, of Des Moines; two granddaughters, Ashley Jorgeson and Shelby Buck; and one great-grandson, Christopher Jorgeson.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul; his father-in-law Leslie Peterson; and one brother-in-law, Dan East.
