Donald "Gus" Archeske, 77, of Story City passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 1:30 p.m. at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Donald Archeske was born May 21, 1929 to Walter and Marie (Wade) Archeske in Des Moines. He was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City and worked at Iowa State University. He had been a resident at Bethany Manor for the last several years.

One brother, Ray Archeske of Story City; one sister, Caroline Wilson of California; and several nieces and nephews survive him.

His parents and his brother Ralph Archeske preceded Gus in death.
