Annabelle E. Meyers
March 21, 1938-Feb 16, 1999Annabelle E. Meyers, 60, of Maxwell, died of lung cancer Tuesday at Kavanagh House in West Des Moines. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Friday at Maxwell Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Brad Braley officiating. Private burial of the cremains will be at a later date in the Maxwell cemetery.
Annabelle E. Meyers was born in Alleman, the daughter of Andrew and Lillian Gardner Aldrich Morgan. She graduated from Maxwell High School in 1855. On Nov. 5, 1955, she married Martin E. Meyers in Nashua at the Little Brown Church. Mrs. Meyers worked at Donnelley Marketing in Nevada and as an administrative assistant at Maxwell High School, and was the manager of Casey's General Store in Maxwell from 1976 until her retirement in 1986. She enjoyed floral design, antiques, reading and her grandchildren. She was a member of Maxwell Presbyterian Church and United Presbyterian Women.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gregory Meyers of Medina, Wash., and David Meyers of Tempe, Ariz.; one daughter, Lesli Meyers Kraiger; two grandchildren; one brother John Morgan of North Liberty; and four sisters, Ila Irene Lawrence of Nebraska, Betty Jean Herman of Bondurant, Janet Lee Olson of Maxwell and Clara Mae Sparks of Mingo.
She was preceded in death by four half-brothers and two sisters. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to the Annabelle F. Meyers Memorial Fund.
Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell is in Charge of the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four half brothers, James Cecil Aldrich, Harold LaVern Aldrich, Charles Irvin Aldrich and Glen Francis Aldrich; and two sisters Ruth Morgan and Doris Ann Morgan Beal.
Memorials are preferred to the Annabelle E. Meyers memorial fund.
Arrangements were made by the Bacon Funeral home in Maxwell.
