Anne Elizabeth Miller, 69, of Spring Valley, Ill., died Monday, July 16, at her home following an extended illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 19, at St. John Lutheran Church in Peru, Ill., with the Rev. Timothy Kenyon officiating.

Anne Elizabeth Miller was born Oct. 18, 1937, in Ames, to Rbert and Gwendolyn (Cameron) Manning. She graduated from Ames High School in 1955 and went to Iowa State University. She married James R. Miller July 21, 1956, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames.

Anne was a bookkeeper for an antiques dealer. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Peru, Ill., past member and president of the Starved Rock Library System, member of Tea Leaf Club International, member and former board member of the White Ironstone Collectors of America, member of Spring Valley Library Board and an advisor for Schroeders Antique Price Guide. She also served as a host parent for 12 foreign exchange students.

She is survived by her husband, of Spring Valley, Ill.; two sons, Jonathan (Mary Frances Brennan) Miller, of Nashville, Tenn., and Michael (Jane Malone) Miller, of Minneapolis; three daughters, Laura (Peter) Metrinko, of Chantilly, Va., Kristine (John) Swartchick, of Crystal, Minn., and Katherine (Luke) Lyons, of Crystal, Minn.; three sisters, Mary Frances (Arnon) Hurwitz, of Grass Range, Mont., Kristine (Senin) Velasquez, of Miami, Fla., and Katherine Manning, of Miami, Fla.; one brother, Robert David (Cathy McCahan) Manning, of Kansas City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley, Ill., and one hour before services on Thursday, July 19, at the church.

Memorials may be given to Spring Valley Library Board or St. John Lutheran Church.
