Nora Faidley

Nora, daughter of Amos and Elizabeth Joy Flora, was born near Maxwell, Iowa, June 25, 1877 and passed from this life of Des Moines on April 21, 1940 at the age of 72 years, 10 months.

On January 25, 1899 she was united in marriage to Ira Faidley and to them one son, Harold, was born. Mr. Faidley preceded his wife in death in August, 1940.

Besides her son, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ella Mishler and Mrs. Mildred Longcor both of Maxwell, and three brothers, Rev. Fred Flora, of Los Angeles, Calif., Floyd Flora, of Twin Falls, Idaho and Ira Flora, of Des Moines, as well as one granddaughter, Ann Faidley. These as well as many other relatives, neighbors and friends will miss her quiet presence and gentle ways.

Mrs. Faidley was a member of Simpson Methodist church, where she has been active until illness prevented.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines, conducted by her pastor.

Interment was in the Brethren cemetery south of Maxwell.
