Death Claims Emmerson Faidley
Once in a while a bud is taken before it blossoms and such was the case of little Emmerson Faidley, taken while yet pure and innocent. He had not yet grown out of his baby ways, was full of play and always ready for a romp.
H. Emmerson Faidley was born July 1909, and died September 6, 1911, aged two years, two months, and two days. He was the only child of H. M. and Maggie Faidley.
His sickness was of short duration. During Sunday night he was stricken with cholera infatum, and in the next few days a cold which he had had for several days developed into bronchial pneumonia, which was the cause of his death.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Church of the Brethren, conducted by Rev. W. E. West of Ankeny, and Rev. Robinson of Maxwell. There was a large number of sympathizing friends present. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery nearby.
He leaves his parents, two grandmothers, two grandfathers, aunts and uncles and eight little cousins.
