THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, July 3, 2007.

Myrtle Barkema, 92, a longtime Jewell area resident, died Sunday, July 1, at Stratford Nursing and Rehabilitation in Stratford. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 6, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at Becker Funeral and Cremation Service in Jewell.
