THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, January 24, 2007.

Marilyn J. Smith, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Jan. 21, at Bickford Cottage in Marion, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids.

Marilyn Smith was self-employed as a market researcher for more than 25 years prior to her retirement.

She is survived by one son, Kent McIntyre, of Columbus, Ohio, and his family; and one daughter, Kaye Drahozal, of Lawrence, Kan., and her family. Also surviving is one sister, Dorothy Tschopp McGee, of Ames, and her family; and one brother, Theodore Kottmeier, of Lampe, Mo., and his family.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids.
