THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, January 24, 2007.

Bob W. Blumenschein, 93, of Omaha, Neb., and originally of Ames, died Friday, Jan. 12. Services were Jan. 16 at Fogelstrom Chapel at Immanuel Terrace in Omaha. Private interment of the cremains will be in Saint John's by the Campus Episcopal Church in Ames.

Bob participated in many community organizations and was the former personnel manager for Farm Credits Bank.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Blumenschein; children and their spouses, Barbara and Frederick Stam, Gary and Gwen Blumenschein, and Sue and Mike Marsh; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law and his wife, Einar and Lois Larsen.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Lutheran Family Services, or Fogelstrom Chapel at Immanuel Terrace, all in Omaha.

Roeder Mortuary Ames Chapel, 4932 Ames Ave., Omaha, Neb., is in charge of arrangements.
