NEVADA - Roxianne "Roxie" Reyerson, 56, of Nevada, died Sunday, November 5, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

Roxie was born January 7, 1950 in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of John Raymond and Vivian (Dahl) Thoen. She was united in marriage to Travis Reyerson on September 25, 1971 at Elk Creek Lutheran Church at Kensett, Iowa. Roxie graduated from Northwood-Kensett High School in 1968 and from UNI in 1976. She was a special education teacher at Central Elementary in Nevada. Roxie was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, garage sales, her pets, flowers, and dancing. She loved her students, friends and her family. Roxie loved to help anyone in need.

Roxie is survived by her husband, Travis Reyerson of Nevada, IA; two sons: Brant (Annie) Reyerson of Ankeny, IA, Clint Reyerson of Phoenix, AZ; her mother: Vivian Thoen of Kensett, IA; 2 brothers: Dennis (LaBonnie) Thoen of Salt Lake City, UT, Dallas Thoen of Kensett, IA; and 5 sisters: Sandi Miner of Northwood, IA, Bonnie Stanton of Palm Harbor, FL, Patti Edenfield of Kensett, IA, Sherry Burns of Waterford, WI, and Shelly Thoen of Ft. Dodge, IA.

Roxie was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Thoen; and 3 brothers: Rodney and 2 in infancy.

Memorial services will be 2:30 pm Thursday at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada, with Pastor David Burling officiating. Inurnment will be in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation with the family was held Wednesday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

Memorials may be made to the Roxie Reyerson Memorial Fund.

The Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory of Nevada is handling arrangements.
