Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Licht, 68, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, in Ames. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Ames. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Licht was born Aug. 29, 1938, in Chicago, to Arthur and Ann Corrigan Wuest. She had been married to Gordon Licht, who died in August 2000.

She was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Ames. She had worked for Iowa State University since 1985 and was active in coordinating the College for Seniors program.

She is survived by one son, Scott Licht, of Colo; two daughters, Priscilla Licht, of West Lafayette, Ind., and Amy Magyar, of Longmont, Colo.; and her two sons-in-law, Richard Meilan and Daniel Magyar. She also is survived by grandchildren, Jennifer and Danielle Licht, and Erin and Connor Magyar, as well as many dear and supportive relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Timothy.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Adams Funeral Home in Ames.

Memorials may be contributed for the TV and Radio ministry or general fund at Saint Paul Lutheran or for the Children and Youth department at Ames Public Library.
