FISH, ELIZABETH FRANCIS (1919-1921)

THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE Maxwell, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, January 6, 1921, page 1, column 4. “ELIZABETH FRANCIS FISH – Elizabeth Francis Fish, daughter of Lee and Vesta Fish, was born near Iowa Center, Ia., May 27, 1919 and fell asleep in Jesus Monday evening, January 3, 1921, aged nineteen months and six days. Pneumonia was the cause of her death. Besides her parents, Baby Betty is survived by two great grandmothers for whom whe was names, Mrs. Elizabeth Greer, of Indianola, Iowa and Mrs. Francis Gearhart, of Maxwell, four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Fish, of Maxwell, and Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Greer of Anes, six aunts and one uncle on her father’s side. Mrs. Roy Torry, Mrs. Thos Cummings, Mrs. Earl Bowen, the Misses Rosa, Bernice and Beulah Fish and Arthur Fish; on her mother’s side she has three aunts, Mrs. C. W. Shannon, of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Earl E(llah) of Clarance, and Miss Marie Greer of Ames. All of the relatives named were present at the funeral except Miss Greer. Services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Presbyterian church, at Maxwell by Rev. G. E. Marsh, of Marshalltown. Interment was made in the Maxwell Cemetery.”
