THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, June 30, 1921, page 1, column 2. “CONRAD MANZ DEAD. – Conrad Manz passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Juda Reitz, Monday evening after an illness of several months, at the age of seventy-seven years. Deceased is survived by his five children: Joseph of Texas; Henry of Flandreau, S. D.; Mrs. Anna Carney, of Novelty, Mo.; Mrs. Susie Frye, of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Juda Reitz, of Maxwell, all of whom were present at the time of his death. Short services were held at his daughter’s home Wednesday morning, conducted by Rev. P. J. Sutter, and the bocy taken to Garrison, accompanied by the children, where funeral will be held and interment made by the side of his wife who preceded him about three years ago.”
