Michael Andrew Geyman, 40, of Eldora, died Friday, July 28, in New Providence. Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 5, at Adams Funeral Home with Pastor Rayle Robbins officiating.

Michael was born Sept. 6, 1965, in Iowa City to Roger Thomas and Josie (Moore) Geyman. He grew up in Lansing, Mich. He graduated from Holt High School in Michigan and completed one year of college. He was a musician. He enjoyed playing his drums and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his father, Roger Thomas, of Ames; his mother Josie (Joe) Geyman, of Crossville, Tenn.; two sisters, Cherine (Terry) Johnson, of Orlando, Fla., and Shana (David) Hayes, of Ogden; two nephews, Jordan and Dylan Johnson; and his companion, Jolene Patton, of Ames.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eunice and James Thomas, David and Delores Moore, and Orrin and Alice Geyman.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Adams Funeral Home in Ames is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Mike was a free spirit who loved his family and friends and was loved by all.
