Opal V. Allison, 84, of Muscatine, formerly of Warsaw, Mo., died Wednesday, July 26, at the Muscatine Care Center in Muscatine.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, July 30, at the Reser Funeral Home, in Warsaw, Mo. Burial will be in the Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw.
Opal V. Allison was born on October 6, 1921, in Chariton, the daughter of Walter and Anna Julia (Shipman) Wright. She married Everett A. Allison on March 20, 1940. They made their home in Des Moines. She grew up in Indianola.
Opal was employed as a lady welder during World War II. Later, she and her husband owned and operated Allison Bake Shop in Stewart. Following their retirement, they moved to Warsaw, Mo., in 1980. Opal was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Warsaw.
She is survived by one son, Everett Allison Jr., of Muscatine; three daughters, Norma Moslander, of Butte, Mont., Patt Cocke, of Warsaw, Mo., and Judy Allison, of Ames; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett; one daughter, Helen Baker; two brothers, Vern Wright and Harold Wright; and three sisters, Dorothy Nelson, Roberta Sinclair and Velma Simpson.
Memorials may be made to the Benton County Cancer Fund in care of the funeral home.
