THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, July 28, 2006.

Eugene C. Fink, 66, of Ozark, Ala., died Thursday morning, July 27, in Flowers Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 30, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark, Ala., with Reverend Joe E. Lee officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.

Eugene C. Fink was born February 2, 1940, in Marshalltown to the late Wendell Jay and Angeline Rosie (Wurster) Fink. He moved to Ozark, Ala., at age seventeen where he worked with Jordan Industries for over 20 years. He was a co-founder of F & W Construction Company in Ozark and retired in 1997. He was an avid blacksmith and a member of Wiregrass Forge. Mr. Fink was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sadie (Parker) Fink, of Ozark, Ala.; one daughter, Phyllis (Andy) Weed, of Ozark; one son, Clayton (Tammy) Fink, of Southport, Fla.; one sister, Karen Peterson, of Ames; one brother, Carl (Evelyn) Fink, of Story City; eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Kylie) Fink, Kristian (Courtney) Weed, Shawn Weed, Andrew Weed, Alesha Joyner, Houston Richardson, Samantha Richardson and Tanya Rowell; and five great-grandchildren, Jackson Clayton Fink, Cameron Weed, Will Creamer, Katlyn McLaughlin and Jewell Rowell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Dennis Murray.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to Victory Tabernacle, 3060 Dean Church Road, Ozark, Ala., 36360.
