Marriage
On Thursday last occurred the wedding of Mr. William Arthur McCoy and Miss Elizabeth Lenora Alfred at the home of the bride’s parents, 8 miles north east of this city. The near relatives of bride and groom were present and promptly at 12 o’clock, noon, the ceremony was performed by Rev. Wright of the U. B. Church which made them man and wife. After congratulations all sat down to a bounteous dinner, doing justice to the same. The bride and groom are well known as refined and cultured in the circle in which they move. Their habits and characters are such as bespeak for them success and happiness in future life.
RECEPTION
Last Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McCoy gave a reception in honor of Mr and Mrs. Art McCoy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Wright. About eighty-five guests were present and a most enjoyable time was had by all. Refreshments were served consisting of cake, coffee, sandwiches and pickles. A number of useful and valuable presents were received of which the following is a list:

Interesting side note: Nora's mother was very much against this marriage and went upstairs while the ceremony was going on.
