I have found that Pieter Lugtenburg was a member of the Reformed Church of Orange City coming in Jan 24 1873. He died Nov 1879 His children were Hendrik L. b. Feb 22 1874 and Wilhelmina b. Oct 13, 1876. Also listed with the family was Mrs. Gerendina Van Wechel Lugtenburg. Could this have been the Diana? Gerendina was most likely nick name Diena or so. Diana is not a common Dutch name back then.
I don't see an obit for Pieter in the old Dutch Volksvriend paper index. I will check the actual papers for you also. If I find more I will let you know.
