Thanks so much!I don't have much to go on, only that Jackson Miller was in Hawarden a short time AND that his wife,Helen, had a sister, Grace who married a man from Hawarden! This man,Ira Holmes, was a railway mail clerk in 1886 there, but he moved to Sharon , WI, where they married 27 Oct 1886. The Fosters, Treats, MIllers and now Holmes, all gravitated between Hawarden, Henry County, IL and Walworth county, WI. I am gathering all I can on them. Many thanks for looking. I may order the 1895 state Iowa census and try that.
