Mrs. Jelle DeVries Answers Call
The community was saddened Thursday when word was received of the death of Mrs. Jelle De Vries of apoplexy. She was 44 years and 3 months of age and was born in the Neth. And came to this country when quite young and made her home with her brother Mr. and Mrs. G. Vander Weert for some time. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband 10 children and numerous friends and relatives and a score of friends who will miss her in every way. She was a good Christian woman and a member of the First Ref. Church from where the funeral was held Saturday. Rev. John Vanderbeek preaching the sermon. The church was crowded to pay their last respect to her. Interment was made in the Maurice Cemetery.

The Times extends its sympathy to the bereaved ones in their hour of great sorrow. The out of town people who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Vanderweert of Rock Valley and Mr. and Mrs. R. Hoogtrop of Hospers, Richard and Andrew Sneller of Sioux Center
