Gertrude M. De Groot.82, of Sioux Center died Tuesday June 4, at the Sioux Center Hospital Nursing Wing.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Sioux Center with the Rerv. John Postman officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Gertrude De Groot was born February 12, 1909 in sioux Center . She attended Sioux Centert Christian Grade School and graduated from Sioux Center Hig hSchool. She was employed for many years at the Hasselo General Store and also was a sales clerk at De Ruyter Hardware Store, retiring in 1970. She was a lifelong member of First Christian Reformed Church of Sioux Center.

Survivors include a nephew, John Conrad Veecamp of Cherokee; and a niece Carol Veencamp Bastemeyer of West Des Moines.
