Alfred H Osterman

Funeral services for Alfred Hugo Osterman,, 79, were held here Tuesday from St. Matthew's Lutheran church. The Rev. R. C. Raedeke officiated. Interment was in Garden of Memories. Mr. Osterman died Friday at the local hospital.

Born April 16, 1893, at Maurice, Iowa, the son of Henry and Dorothea Mueller Osterman, he came to Ocheyedan, Iowa, with his parents in 1904. He and Deva Katherine Arend were married there March 2, 1916.

After farming five years near Ocheyedan, they moved to Strawberry Point, Iowa, where they farmed for 18 years before moving into town. In October, 1951, they came to Worthington, where he worked in a farm management program for 15 years prior to his retirement.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Frank Drunagel, Concordia, Mo. His wife, his parents and five brothers preceded him in death.
