Mrs. Aug. Breuer Rites Held Mon.

Funeral services for Mrs. August C. Breuer were held Monday, Nov 26 from the Immanuel Lutheran Church in George. Officiating was Pastor John Kronlokken with Vogelaar Funeral Service in charge of arrangements. Interment was in the St. Paul Lutheran cemetery at rural Hull.

Organist for the service was Gordon Shaffer with Mrs. Ben T. Geerdes, Mrs. Bill Grotluschen and Mrs. Gilbert Bathke serving as the flower committee. Casket bearers were nephews: Curtis Behrens, Dwayne Riebling, Norman Woelber, Alvin Sohl, Merle Sohl and Orville Sohl.

Adele Helvina (Sohl) Breuer, daughter of Henry and Meta Sohl, was born Nov 9, 1906 at Brooklyn, N Y. She was baptized in Brooklyn Where her parents lived for a few years before they moved to rural Hull. She attended the local school and was confirmed in the St. Paul LutheranChurch.
Adele was united In marriage on Feb 16, 1927 to August Claus Breuer of Hull. The family farmed near Hull until 1946 when they moved to a farm near Madison, Minn. In 1971 the family moved back to George for their retirement years, where they joined Immamuel Lutheran Church.
Mrs Breuer passed away very suddenly on Thanksgiving Day evening, Nov 22 at her home while entertaining family and friends. She was 67 years and 17 days at the time of her death.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were 3 brothers: Paul, Ernest and Alfred; and 2 sisters: Helena and Henrietta Behrens.
Survivors are: her husband August; 3 sons: Laverne of Osseo, Minn, Earl of St Paul Minn. and Gerald of Fenton, Mich. There is also 1 brother Louis Sohl of Hull; and 4 stepbrothers: Vernon, Art, Elmer and Albert Schmidt; 2 sisters: Alma Woelber of Sheldon and: Martha; (Mrs. Alfred Reibling) of rural Ashton; and a stepsister Matilda Hinsch of George; 11 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
