Mr. David Davison, age 64, of Hospers, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Orange City Area Health System.

There will be no services at this time.

The Oolman Funeral Home in Hospers is assisting the family.

David Andre was the son of the late David Andre Kuhn and the late Marcia (Boehm) Gary. He was raised by his adoptive father, Albert Seymour Davison.

He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a Second-Class Petty Officer. He was stationed at Great Lakes, Illinois, the Naval Technical Training Center in Meridian, Mississippi, the United States Naval Communication Station in Puerto Rico, and as a plank owner of the USS Comte De Grasse (DD-974) homeported in Norfolk, Virginia.

David worked as a substitute teacher and teaching assistant in public schools and as a teacher for Seventh-day Adventist and other Christian schools in the United States, South Korea, Macau, and the Philippines. Before retiring, Mr. Davison worked at the United States Department of Veterans’ Affairs Outpatient Clinic at the U.S. Embassy in Manila, Philippines.

His hobbies included researching his family tree, traveling, and studying religion.

Survivors include his loving wife, Amy; his son Michael Davison; his sisters, Diane Brobeck and Deborah Hiles; his brother, Daryl Davison; and two generations of nieces and nephews.
