Gerrit Hendrik Leusink was born 5 May 1869 and died 21 Aug 1935 Orange City IA.

Gerrit Leusink, Old Hull Resident Dies – Old Pioneer of Hull died at Home of His Sister at age 66; Funeral Held Tuesday. Gerrit Leusink one of the real old time residents of this vicinity, died at the Doornink hospital at Orange City, last Saturday, following an operation for acute gall bladder truoube. He was taken sick a week ago and was taken to the home of his sister Mrs. Henry Te Grotenuis, at Hospers, from there he was taken to the hospital at Orange City.

Mr. Leusink was a single man, was sixty six years of age and is survived by three sisters: Mrs. Martin Vander Slote of Sioux Center, Mrs. Anthony Bomgaars of Hull and Mrs. Henry Te Grotenhuis of Hospers; and four brothers, John of Marcus, Henry of Hull ND, H. D. of Hull, and Gerrit John of Lake View SD. On brother Bert, died only five weeks ago.

The funeral was held Tuesday in Hull at the First Reformed church. Rev. G. H. Douwstra officiating, and burial was made in the family lot at Middleburg. The funeral was largely attended, showing the esteem in which Mr. Leusink was held by all who know him.
