MRS. HANS PEARSON EXPIRES Was 82 Years Old and a Resident of Alcester for Over 40 Years

Mrs. Hans Pearson, the well-known lady in this and the Alcester communities, passed away Saturday evening in the home of her son, Martin Pearson of Alcester, following a three months' illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Nathanael Lutheran church, north of Alcester, with her six grandsons acting as pallbearers. Burial was made in the church cemetery there amid the chimes and notes played by the church organ.

Emily Carlson was born in 1859 at Hjorte, Smaland, Sweden, and died August 17, 1940, at the age of 82 years. In 1892 she was united in marriage with Hans Pearson, and the couple lived near Maurice for several years before moving to Alcester. There she joined the Nathanael Lutheran church in which organization she was always a devoted member.

Her husband preceded her in death to 1926.

Surviving to mourn her departure are two sons, John Pearson of Hawarden and Martin Pearson of Alcester. She also leaves eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
