Norwyn Todd was the son of Nicholas and Theresa Otten Bloemendaal. He was raised on a farm near Doon. He attended the Doon Christian School and graduated from Western Christian High School in Hull.

On December 28, 1983, he married Gwendalyn Pearl Bakker at Spencer. They made their home on an acreage northwest of Hull. He was a mechanic at Lems Auto Recyclers in Doon, starting there when he was a junior in high school

Norwyn was a member of Hope Christian Reformed Church, where he served a Sunday School teacher and belonged to the Couple’s Club and a Bible Study. His family was very important to him, especially his daughters and nephews and nieces.

Survivors include his wife, “Gwen”; two daughters, Gabrielle “Abbie”, age 9, and Natasha “Tasha”, age 6, at home; his parents, “Nick” and “Tress” Bloemendaal of Doon; three brothers and two sisters, Cheryl Weerheim of Little Rock; Cliff Bloemendaal of Mendon, Missouri; Darla Van Berkum of Doon; Darrell Bloemendaal of Hull; and Rick Bloemendaal of Doon; and many nephews and nieces.
