Funeral services for Louis Alons, 69, Orange City, were held at 1:15 p. m. Friday at the First Reformed Church in Orange City. The Reverend Robert Tjapkes officiated and burial was in West Cemetery at Hospers, Iowa, under direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home of Orange City.

Mr. Alons died January 9, at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Alons was born May 3, 1898, at Sheldon, Iowa. His parents were David and Mary (Fedders) Alons. He married Elizabeth Uitenbogaard February 9, 1922, at Hospers. They farmed northwest of Hospers until 1954 when they retired and moved to Orange City.

Survivors include the widow, three sons, Arthur, Sanborn, Iowa, Daniel, Hospers, and Bernard, Polomoke, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Arie Van Vuuren, Lakewood, California , and Mrs. Rudolph Meyer, Sioux Center, Iowa; two brothers, Ben Alons of Sheldon and Gerrit Alons of Boyden, two sisters, Mrs. Edgar Schmidt, Sheldon and Miss Reka Alons, Orange City, and 18 grandchildren.
