Translated:
Sunday night at half past eleven after more than three months of suffering, Mrs. Gerrit sweet, 69 years old. She leaves behind a heartbroken husband and 6 grown children. They feel very comforted that she has gone to a better place. The last three months of her life were marked by heavy sufferings.

On Sunday, the old Mrs. Zoet suffered long-term cancer in the stomach. The remains were interred on Tuesday from the Ger Church. Mr. Zoet asked us to express his gratitude for the condolences and kindness shown to him during the illness and death of his wife.

Research note: From a family report on ancestry.com (by others) Found Aaltje Wolbersen van den Hoorn born 1828 Putten Gelderland Netherlands, daughter of Teunis Wolbersen Van Den Hoorn 1787 and Aartje Jannssen Doppenberg1796-1871.

She was married first to Aalt de Mots 1814-1865, they had four children Aartjen 1851, Teunis 1856, Jan 1859, and Jannetje De Mots 1861. Then 14 Aug 1868 at Ermelo she marred Gerrit Zoet 1844 died after Dec 1922. They had Harmtje Zoet (Mrs. Jan Rens) 1869-1928 and daughter Jannetje Zoet (Mrs. Klaas Schoolmeester) 1872-1947. The came to the USA Aug 21, 1885.

Gerrit must have moved to the Alto Wisc area as in the Volksvriend paper of March 27, 1919. That he was a reader of the Volkvriend and after 20 years has renewed his subscription.

In the 1920 census of Alton Fond du Lac, Wisconsin Gerrit Zoet was 75 years born about 1845 Neth, Came t to USA in 1885. widowed, Presumed he had relatives there.

Lost track of him after Dec of 1922, so he died after that date presumably at Alto Wisconsin.
With very little information in the death articles of Mrs. Gerrit Zoet, the trail to find the details of the family was indeed a challenge.
