Zondag overleed een kindje van Mr. en Mrs. E. ten Napel, na siechts een paar dagen ziek te zuin geweest aan longkoortsen. De begrafenis had gisterennamiddag om twee uur plaats van nit het stefhuis.

Sunday a child of Mr. and Mrs. E. Ten Napel, after only a few days ill too low with lung fever. The funeral took place at two o'clock yesterday afternoon from the home.

Translated:
This child was most likely the child or Evert Ten Napel 1860-1936 and wife Peternella De Vries Mrs. Evert Ten Napel 1861-1941. They were married in the Netherlands in 1883. There first child Herman was noted born in 1897 and lived. The age of this child has not been determined.

As with so many infants and young children it it were not for the very limited death notices in the old newspapers the infants and children would have no identity at all, no mention of them in their parents obits, no grave stone or burial information, just forgotten in time as if they never existed, how sad.
