Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church near Ireton at 10:30 A.M. July 31 for Mrs. Louis Becker, 79, of Ireton, who died at her home July 28.

Services were conducted by the Reverend Larry Miller and burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton.

Mrs. Becker, the former Jennie Nicholson was born January 11, 1896, near Struble, daughter of William and Mollie (Moran) Nicholas. She was married November 4, 1914. She was a lifelong resident of the Ireton area. Mr. Becker died April 16, 1934.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald and William, both of Ireton; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Gladys) Vlieger of Maurice; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Molly Keough of Davenport; Mrs. Mabel Mueller, Mrs. Neil Rosburg and Mrs. Edith McDougall, all of Le Mars, and Miss Evelyn Nicholas of Washington, D.C.; and three brothers, W.F. Nicholas of Craig, Richard Nicholas of Sioux City and Donald Nicholas of Struble.
