Louis Becker, 46, widely known and popular farmer of Reading Township, died Monday afternoon from embolism. Mr. Becker suffered two heart attacks last week but was feeling better again until Saturday when his condition became serious.

Mr. Becker was a lifelong resident of this vicinity and enjoyed a large acquaintance and many friendships.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie (Nicholson) Becker; parents, Henry and Elizabeth ((Klinge) Becker; sons - William, Ralph, Ronald, Wallace; one daughter, Gladys; nine brothers and sisters - Henry Becker and Mrs. Amelia Carlson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Merrill Harrison of Sioux City, Miss Norma Becker of Des Moines, Emil, Helmuth, Alvin Becker of Le Mars, and Mrs. John Brangwin and Miss Lillian Becker of Le Mars.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church at Reading Township, with Reverend C.D. Nuffer in charge. Burial will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery in Ireton.
