Mulder, Dr.’s infant daughter died end of October 1893

Maandagmorgen ongeveer vijf uur overleed, na een kort dach hevig lijen, het jongste kindje van Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Mulder in de ouderdom van slechts 20 dagen. De Begrafinis had gisteren namiddag te twee uur plaats van uit de ouderlijke woning, onder leiding van Ds. K. B. Weland

Monday the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Mulder died at 20 days. The funeral was at 2 at the home under the lead of Rev K. B. Weiland.

In the issue of Oct 25th, states: the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Mulder is sick with longkoorts.

The submitter had difficulty finding first name to identity Dr. Mulder. Upon reviewing all the Mulder names in the 1900 census that lived in Sioux County found that he was Dr. Derk Mulder born May 1862 in Holland, age 38 in 1900, wife Eva age 30, they had children Eve 9, and Johannes 5. He was a Physician, his wife Eve was born Feb 1870 in Wisconsin.

Research note: From a report on ancestry.com (by others) Derk Mulder was born may 1862 Winschoten, Groningen, Netherlands died 3 Jul 1938 in Lynden WA. His wife was Eva Hartgerink born 28 Feb 1870 Waupun WI, died 18 Aug 1945 Los Angeles Co. CA. She was the daughter of George Hartgerink 1836 and Eva A. Beeuwkes 1836. Children listed were Eva 1891, and John L. 1895-1959.
